Make a Difference
I’ve been thinking about the question “Why does God allow bad things to happen in the world?” Mostly I think we over complicate this answer because if we return (repent) to our original created self we return to a God Who called His creation good.
Genesis 1: 26-31 Then God said, “Let us make man[h] in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food. And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so. And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.
We also have to remember that the God of the universe Who sent His only Son to die on a cross for us did this as a demonstration of a Father’s love for a his child. As a parent how many times do you tell your son or daughter don’t and they continue to misbehave? When they continue in their disobedience are you not still their father? When they continue into their adult years and still have not headed your warnings, what is your response? We pray, we try different approaches, we seek counsel among friends and counselors, and more. No matter what you’ve taught them or resources you’ve exhausted your child still has the choice to do what is right or not. We want our children not to repeat our mistakes, but rather to learn from them and when they don’t we don’t love them any less.
We has a people have been given free will to do what we ought to do, that which is right in the sight of God. We have been given the ability to receive the gift of salvation through the death of Jesus Christ on the cross, paid for with His blood.
So why do bad things happen? Because people choose to do so. So get M.A.D. and choose not to be one of these people and Make A Difference.
